Our Movement was originated by Pastor Paul Johnson and assisted by Pastor Raymond Jolly. They started the LHMM as a means to further the Gospel and to provide a name for the publication of its two magazines and seventeen volumes of Epiphany Studies in the Scriptures and the republishing of many of Pastor Russell’s literary works. Pastors Johnson and Jolly served as Executive Trustees consecutively until the year 1979 and others have occupied the post until the present.  

This is a religious movement, in which many Christians cooperate in spreading the Word.

The purpose of this ministry is to preach the truth of the Bible, to promote growth in Christ likeness, to spread and encourage interest in individual and group Bible study along non-sectarian lines. To accomplish its purposes, the Movement publishes many Bible-oriented books, booklets, magazines and free tracts in various languages. It maintains a staff of traveling ministers for religious services, Bible talks, weddings, funerals etc.

To us the Scriptures clearly teach –

That Jehovah is the Most High God – infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, perfect in wisdom, justice, love and power; that His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, had a prehuman existence as the mighty Word or Logos, “the beginning of the creation of God,” “the firstborn of every creature,” who was the Father’s Agent in all the works of creation (John 6 : 51; 17 : 5).

That the Word “was made flesh,” born “of a virgin,” and thereby became the man, Christ Jesus, who was “made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death,” yet“ separate from sinners” (Heb, 2 : 9; 7 : 26)

That, Christ since His resurrection, is Divine; that He was “put to death in the flesh, but quickened {made alive} in the Spirit,” highly exalted, and “given a name which is above every name”; (Phil. 2 : 9-11; Heb. 1 : 3).

That the, Holy Spirit, as God’s influence and power proceeds from the Father and the Son, and
is manifested in the lives of all true Christians (2 Tim. 1 : 7; Luke 11 : 13).

That the human race was created perfect in the character image and likeness of God, male and
female and that through sin they fell under the penalty of death, not life in eternal torment. (Gen. 2 : 17; Rom. 5 : 12-19).

That the Church, the 144,000, gathered from among Jews and Gentiles, together with the Great
Multitude, will constitute the heavenly, spiritual phase of the Kingdom and the Ancient and youthful Worthies will be the earthly Princes and will make up the four elect classes that will assist the Restitutionists to gain everlasting human life during the Millennial Age (Rev 14 : 1; 7 : 9-17; Joel 2 : 28, 29).

That the basis of hope for everlasting life for the elect and the non-elect is in the fact that God “is the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe”; so that “by the grace of God he (Jesus) might taste death {not eternal torment} for everyone,” “a ransom for all”; and that Jesus is “the true Light, which gives light to every man coming into the world.” This will occur in God’s “due time” (Heb. 2 : 9; John 1 : 9).

That the hope of God’s people now in process of development is that they will have an abundant entrance into God’s Kingdom and that their present mission is to develop and perfect themselves in Christ likeness, to witness for God and Christ to the world and to prepare for the work of blessing all the families of the earth in Christ’s coming Kingdom on earth. (Matt. 6 : 10; John 18 : 37).

That Jesus is the satisfaction for the sins of the Church and the world; that the Gospel Age is the
Church’s judgment day; that God has appointed a Thousand-year Day in which He “will judge the World in righteousness,” with Satan bound; that while none of Adam’s race get a second chance, each of them will have one full, fair opportunity to gain eternal life through Christ, either in this life or after being awakened from the dead (John5 : 28, 29, R.V.; Rev. 20 : 2-7).

That the Gospel was preached to Abraham, saying “And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed”; that the Christ, Head and Body, is the great Seed of Abraham and the others of the elect are the subordinate seed, through whom all mankind will eventually be blessed in the Restitution times of the earthly Kingdom (Gal. 3 : 7-9; Zeph. 3 : 9).

That we are now in “the time of the end,” with its unprecedented “Great Tribulation” in which
Jesus reveals Himself during His Second Coming. He is now overthrowing Satan’s dominion and His reign of peace and righteousness will eventually be installed here on the earth. One of the sign’s of Christ’s presence has been Israel’s return to Palestine which event has already occurred in 1948. Israel is to be the main nation of earth used by God to usher in the Times of Restitution. (Dan. 2 : 44; Amos 9: 11-15).
